Why do it?

After discovering my knee is now mostly held together by my own imagination and magic I have spent most of this season watching football in the Bay of Plenty rather than playing it.

But for all the great football and stories surrounding it in this sunny part of New Zealand, I rarely see it publicised.

After a tough couple of years thanks to that wretched disease, it’s time for football lovers in the region to lift each other up. I hope to give some of you a voice with the aim of publication, not only here, but in more mainstream outlets.

Why me?

Not only have I been playing the beautiful game since I was five years old I have also been writing about it for over a decade now.

So who better? Probably a lot of people, all of whom I wish to meet and hopefully let contribute to this newsletter.
